Hell In A Handbasket
Ok, let me get this straight. 2009 saw the loss of 2.7 million jobs, yet the Dow and S&P500 soared from their March09 lows to almost double. The US Govt. posts a December deficit of 91.9 billion - nearly double the shortfaull of a year ealier and marking the 15th straight month in the red - while the Federal Reserve posts a record profit of 45 billion Dollars. James Howard Kunstler describes it perfectly. "...the grotesque carnival of rackets and lies that the US economy has become". The healthcare bill, if passed in its current form, will be our economy's death knell, if our dying fiat currency, rendered worthless by Helicopter Ben, doesn't kill the economy first. Throw into the mix the completely controlled propaganda machine we call the "news", which keeps an unsuspected populace, distracted by cheating golf pros and reality shows, dumbed down to the point of comatose, and you have yourself one stupendously heinous socio-economic disaster of unmitigated proportions virtually guaranteed to unfold at a moment's notice. We're one Yemen invasion away from pissing off the whole fucking planet. What then? Hmm? I hate to be such a wet blanket, but I don't think enough folks are thinking this through. Do you really think it can't happen here? It has happened many times througout the world precisely due to the same courses of action our own government and financial system is pursuing with reckless abandon. What are you doing to protect yourself? If nothing, then your handbasket awaits.
